Can you remember a time in your life when you sat waiting for what seemed an eternity? Maybe you were in a waiting room while a loved one was in surgery. Maybe you were waiting to hear whether you got the job you interviewed for last week. Or, maybe you were counting down the days to a wedding, birthday, or vacation. Whatever the reason, I'm quite confident that it wasn't easy to get your mind off the wait. Sure, thinking about something else helps the time to pass, but eventually your mind always returns to the wait.
My least favourite type of waiting involves the unknown. Not having any idea of when the waiting will be over makes me worry that it'll never end. I think that we've all got things like this in our lives that we're perpetually waiting for. Many of my friends have been waiting for something to happen as long as I've known them: to meet that special person, to become a parent, to get a little freedom from being a parent, to start up a small business.
The thing is that even though I know that everyone is waiting for something, that everyone is or has experienced this limbo, I've had enough. I'm done waiting. I've waited, worked, studied, prayed, begged, hoped, and worried for over ten years and I'm done. I realize that if things don't change now, they're not going to change. No more waiting. Now it's time to do something I should have done at the beginning. Time for plan B.
Is McDonald's hiring?

About Me
- Candace
- I met my husband when I was 19 and we've been best friends and inseparable since my 20th birthday and the beginning of what I'm pretty sure we both knew was a rebound relationship. Take that, mom! Rebounding can be a good thing! ;) We've got two little girls, Kayla and Hayley. The best part about parenthood right now is not having babies! It is so nice to not have to lug a stroller everywhere and to be able to sit back and watch the kids play independently. I am at the beginning of my career as a resource teacher and absolutely loving it when I'm not feeling overwhelmed by the size of the job. If I could just find a way to clone myself or sleep less... So, that's me in a nutshell. Well, more like a coconut shell. Why be concise? It's far more enjoyable to ramble. ;)
I think MCD requires a masters degree now too don't they? Besides... DQ is more fun...
